It doesn’t matter how many times you change the plan if your blood work is off.
Greetings, I’m Darryl Daniels, a master trainer with more than four decades of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve seen many women athletes encounter frustrating plateaus in their performance. Often, the solution to these plateaus lies within their own blood work.
Consider the case of one of my real-life clients, ‘SK.’ She was experiencing difficulties in her training capacity and significant fluctuations in her appetite and sleep patterns, which were affecting her performance and overall quality of life. Despite changes in her workout regimen, meal plans, and supplement intake, we couldn’t rectify the problem. It was like trying to solve a jigsaw puzzle with missing pieces. So rather than spinning our wheels we went right to blood work.
However, everything changed when we decided to consult with a healthcare professional to analyze SK’s blood work. This gave us a comprehensive view of her physiological state, highlighting areas of concern that weren’t visible through surface observations. It turned out that she was facing a hormonal imbalance and certain nutritional deficiencies, contributing to her performance issues and appetite irregularities.
Armed with this new information, we were able to correct the imbalances through targeted therapies and interventions, tailored specifically to SK’s needs. This made a world of difference in her training capacity and appetite. The plateau she had been struggling with suddenly became a hill she could climb and conquer.
The takeaway here is that the path to peak performance is not always a straightforward one. Sometimes, the answers lie in places you’d least expect – like your blood work. This can reveal a wealth of information about your body’s state, providing the keys to unlock your full potential.
As always, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before making significant changes based on your blood work. With the right information and the right approach, you can overcome any obstacle in your fitness journey.
Yours in health and performance, Darryl Daniels, Master Trainer, IFBB Pro.
